I always look to the future anxiously hoping for something greater, yet my present sits idly, waiting for me to recognize it's relevance.

Marble slabs lay replacing bricks
A troubled artist loses grip
Reveled in a dangerous mind
Battling against wicked crimes
Visions flash in a nocturnal sleep
Secret phantoms’ lies to keep
Fragrant passions fill the air
Perceptions tower with debonair
Wildly fleeing pangs of guilt
Shame retires anguished hell
Far fetched remiss and vile blanks
Thrown expression, mysterious saints
Evil wicked growing pain
Disillusion ghosts to have slain
By the break of candlelight
In fleeting wings they take their flight
Simplest damsel in distress
Monstrous desire set to rest
Partake in gory sacrifice
To write the message of your life
Admired, finally you stand
Was all the pain worth all the grand?
Don’t trouble how time can’t be turned
Through these failures you have learned
Wildly your rights prevail
Mistaken, shaken, unaware
Foundations crumble within your realm
A matter wholly lost and failed
Disgraced you are, at home you lay
Wallowing bottles of chardonnay
Transcend this path and fade to black
A truth too real, one which you lack
When stories tell of pain and loss
Your name is said and read by all
You lose your life and fall away
Not forgotten to this day
Maybe you did succeed after all
A genius with a cataclysmic fall
Alas you lost and shattered your life
But in your death you lived despite
